The Retreat Setting
Most wellness retreats ask you to "disconnect" — then put you in a hotel with a pool and a spa menu. This is different.
The Flex Barn is 1,600 square feet of genuine studio space. Rubber flooring, 16-foot ceilings, natural light from the wide sliding doors, and total quiet. It's where the morning practice happens. It's where the afternoon workshop runs. It's where group movement feels different from a studio in the city.
The bay-view front deck is the meditation space. The hammock under the tree canopy is the restorative space. The fire pit under the stars closes each day in the way it should.
Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge — 28,000 acres of tidal marsh, bald eagles, and genuine silence — is ~19 miles (~30 minutes) away. It's not incidental. It's part of what makes this place work.

Property Tour

The space, the setting, and the quiet to do the work.
The Flex Barn is 1,600 square feet with 16-foot ceilings, rubber flooring, and natural light through the wide doors. Bring your mats, blocks, and whatever else your practice needs. It's a serious studio.
The front deck faces the Chesapeake Bay. The morning light on the water, the sounds of birds, the absence of city noise — this is where the day starts here. There's nowhere better for a sitting practice.
Tree-buffered, private, no neighbors visible. The bay-facing orientation means the only view is water. The property is genuinely quiet in a way that's hard to find within 3 hours of a major city.
The ground-floor master has a king bed, a soaking tub, and a separate shower. The ideal place to decompress after a full day of movement and being outside.
The pergola fire pit under the stars closes the day. Chesapeake Bay crickets, the smell of woodsmoke, the natural darkness of the Eastern Shore. The circadian reset you've been looking for.
A full full kitchen for preparing clean, intentional food for your group. Island seating, large oven, all the tools. Group cooking here becomes part of the retreat — not a logistical afterthought.
What a day here actually feels like.
Morning on the front deck. The bay wakes up slow and quiet. This is the practice.
Morning yoga in the Flex Barn — 1,600 square feet, rubber flooring, 16-ft ceilings. The big doors slide open to the outside.
Nourishing breakfast prepared together in the full kitchen. The first conversation of the day.
Quiet time — journaling on the deck, reading in the hammock, walking to the bay.
Afternoon movement session or workshop in the Flex Barn.
Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge (~19 miles) - bald eagles, marsh silence, tundra swans. The stillness here is unlike anything in a city.
Group dinner cooked together. The dining room table, the full group, no rush.
Fire pit circle at the pergola. The Chesapeake stars. Whatever needs to be said, gets said here.
