Inclusion & Community Behavior Policy

The Bayside Escape · Last updated May 2026

Everyone is welcome at The Bayside Escape.

We are a hospitality-first property. That means we embrace a culture of inclusion and belonging for every guest, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or marital status. We will never decline, cancel, or amend a booking based on anyone's identity.

Our Commitment to You

The Bayside Escape is a place for everyone to gather, rest, and create memories. We ask only that guests bring the same spirit of mutual respect to their interactions with us, with Fishing Creek neighbors, and with the community around the property.

We take every report of threatening, harassing, aggressive, discriminatory, or biased behavior seriously. Any guest, group, or individual who engages in such behavior during a stay will be subject to immediate removal from the property without refund.

Zero Tolerance for Hateful Displays

We do not permit the display of hateful, discriminatory, or threatening imagery, symbols, flags, or logos anywhere on the property — indoors or outdoors. This includes but is not limited to Confederate flags, Neo-Nazi symbols, or any imagery that promotes hate or discrimination against any group.

Violation of this policy will result in immediate removal from the property without refund and may result in being reported to local law enforcement.

Accessibility

The Bayside Escape has a step-free main level. Both front and rear decks have ramps and French door entry. The Flex Barn has ramps in and out. The main-level master suite is on the ground floor and includes a soaking tub, and two more bedrooms share that same main level. The other three bedrooms are upstairs, up a standard staircase, and there is no chair lift, so the main level is where to plan for anyone who cannot manage stairs. Please note: the property is not ADA-certified and does not have grab bars installed. Tell us what you need before you book and we will tell you honestly whether the house works.

If you have specific accessibility needs, please reach out before your stay so we can ensure everything is arranged for you.

Respectful Behavior on the Property & In the Community

Fishing Creek is a small, tight-knit working-water community. We ask all guests to:

  • Treat neighbors, local business owners, and community members with courtesy
  • Observe quiet hours (10 pm – 8 am)
  • Refrain from behavior that disrupts neighbors or reflects poorly on the community
  • Comply with all local ordinances, including noise regulations
  • Treat the property, its grounds, and its surroundings with care and respect

Fair Housing Compliance

This property is offered in full compliance with federal, state, and local Fair Housing Laws. All bookings are accepted without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or familial status.

A minimum age requirement may be enforced to book — this does not conflict with Fair Housing protections.

How to Report a Concern

If you feel that you have been treated in a way that violates this policy — before, during, or after your stay — please reach out to us directly:
